Dele Alli told seal ‘great’ move out of Tottenham as ‘significant’ bids readied – ex-manager
Alex McLeish has backed Dele Alli to “resurrect” his career by leaving Tottenham in January.
The former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted he has been baffled by the 25-year-old’s dramatic fall from grace at Spurs.
As reported by Eurosport on Friday (17 December), Alli’s representatives are working on a move, with Tottenham not standing in the way of his exit.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Premier League clubs are preparing significant offers, although a move to Germany may also be on the cards.
McLeish insisted an exit from Spurs is a must for the attacking midfielder to get his career back on track.
“I saw him as a young guy making his full debut for England and scoring,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“He scored the most amazing goal and I thought: ‘This kid, making all these runs from midfield.’
“Then, all of a sudden, you’re thinking: ‘What the hell happened? How can he possibly lose that talent and those skills he had?’
“That’s a mystery in itself. Over my years of experience in football, I’ve seen a lot of young guys come through. They have a spectacular one or two seasons and then they plateau.
“They can’t maintain the competition they had carried in the couple of years before. It’ll be great for Dele Alli to leave, I think. He has to try resurrect his career.”

Alli has made just 14 appearances for Spurs across all competitions this season.
Notably, he has featured just twice since Antonio Conte took charge.
