Dele Alli told to U-turn after Everton transfer update via Sky – Hutton
Alan Hutton has claimed Dele Alli needs to “find his feet” at Everton.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender suggested another move in such a short space of time would not help the 26-year-old.
Alli signed for the Toffees in January.
His current contract at Goodison Park expires in 2024.
According to Sky Sports (17 August), the midfielder is in talks with Besiktas over a potential move.
Hutton cannot understand what has gone wrong for the former England international.
“I think the thing with Dele Alli is how quickly he’s fallen from grace,” he told Football Insider.
“He was unbelievable at the start of his Tottenham career, especially in the England squad, it’s just been a dramatic fall. I can’t put my finger on it, I don’t know what it is.
“He’s obviously had the move to Everton, it’s not worked out there he’s not got the game time. Now Besiktas are interested in him. I don’t really know where his head is at, it’s a difficult one for him.

“There is a player there, there’s no doubt about that. But he’s gone seasons now where he’s underperformed so there must be something in the background that’s not clicking.
“Would another move suit him? I’m not so sure. I think he needs to find his feet at Everton, fight to get into that team. Frank Lampard brought him to the club, he’ll want him to do well so I think he’ll want to try and get into that team. Another move so quick I don’t think is going to help him.“
