Dominic Calvert-Lewin reacts to Fulham’s Antonee Robinson message amid transfer links

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is weighing up his next move and he could be heading to Fulham after interacting with Cottagers defender Antonee Robinson.

Calvert-Lewin became a free agent at the end of June after his contract at Everton expired after nine years with the Toffees, after joining the club from Sheffield United in 2016.

The 28-year-old has attracted interest from Premier League club’s including Newcastle United and Manchester United, whilst Celtic may also pursue Calvert-Lewin following the loss of Nicolas Kuhn.

Fulham are also in the race for Calvert-Lewin and according to Football Insider are leading the race for the striker’s services.

Stars reacts as Robinson shares update

Robinson was one of Fulham’s star performers last season as the West London club finished 11th in the Premier League table and made the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

The 27-year-old has undergone knee surgery this summer and is hoping to return ahead of Fulham’s opening league match against Brighton.

The American has been spending time on the golf course in the off-season and he took to Instagram to share an update, which Calvert-Lewin liked.

Rodrigo Muniz could leave the club to join Leeds, so Marco Silva would require a new striker to compete with Raul Jimenez.

Calvert-Lewin has plenty of Premier League experience and has been capped by England, but injury issues have hampered his progress over the last couple of seasons.

The 28-year-old made 26 appearances in all competitions last season, as Beto became Everton’s first-choice striker.

Calvert-Lewin’s record across all competitions in his time at Everton.

Silva took a chance on Jimenez following his serious head injury sustained at Wolves, and the Portuguese manager could take another gamble with Calvert-Lewin’s fitness.

Fulham face competition for Calvert-Lewin’s signature, and the striker could ask for wages in the region of £150,000 a week.

That could be a stumbling block for the Cottagers who were unable to sign Kyle Walker due to his wage demands.

Silva feels content to keep his squad together and only sign or sell players if the price is right for the club.

Fulham were only nine points off the European places last season, but unless Silva upgrades his squad it looks like gatecrashing the top seven could be a step too far next campaign.
