Donny van de Beek tipped for Man United lifeline after ‘brilliant’ update – pundit
Donny van de Beek has a future at Man United if Erik ten Hag is named as the club’s new manager.
That’s according to former Leeds United defender Danny Mills, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Everton loanee’s future.
According to Sky Sports‘ Melissa Reddy (30 March), Man United have been sounding out how much compensation they would need to pay to get Ten Hag out of Ajax.

It comes after the 52-year-old was interviewed last week with a view to taking over permanently in the summer.
Van de Beek, 24, joined Everton on loan in January after failing to nail down a permanent role in the Man United side.
The midfielder was a key player at Ten Hag’s Ajax between 2017 and 2020 and, as such, Mills claims there is a way back for him if his former boss takes over at Old Trafford.
“Ten Hag is brilliant at coaching these young players and really bringing them on,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“If it is Ten Hag, I’m assuming Man United will want Donny van de Beek back pretty quickly.
“From what I’ve seen at Everton, he’s actually been ok when he has played.
“He controls the ball so well and he is a brilliant technical footballer.
“If Ten Hag is going to play the way he has played with Ajax, that will suit Van de Beek.
“I think there will be a place for him if Ten Hag is appointed.”

Van de Beek made 110 appearances for Ten hag’s Ajax.
He scored 32 goals and provided 29 assists in those outings.
