‘Don’t change what works’ – Tottenham star sends cyptic message after Doncaster Rovers win
There were plenty of talking points to come from Tottenham’s latest win against Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup.
Tottenham eased through to the last 16 of the Carabao Cup after beating Doncaster Rovers 3-0.
Joao Palhinha continued his impressive performances after scoring the first goal with an exceptional overhead kick, while an own goal from Jay McGrath and Brennan Johnson sealed the win.
One player who was given a start was Antonin Kinsky in his first appearance for the club this term.
Kinsky was slammed by Tottenham fans after a mistake earlier in the year when he filled in for Guglielmo Vicario as they were knocked out in just the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Now, the 22-year-old was given his first start and shared a message that offers insight into his current mindset.
Antonin Kinsky shares reaction after clean sheet against Doncaster
Kinsky shared multiple photos on Instagram from the game, including a video of a few of his saves, accompanied by the caption:
“Don’t change what works, even if it doesn’t work for a while… process”.
This may refer to how Kinsky was criticised for his performances, with the shot-stopper preferring to play out from the back, but it has also caused mistakes through that style.
Kinsky joined Spurs in the January window as Vicario suffered a fractured ankle, accelerating their pursuit of a goalkeeper.
While he made 10 appearances in the Italian’s absence, it seems as if Frank is more keen on Vicario as the side’s first-choice keeper.

Kinsky can challenge Guglielmo Vicario for number-one spot
Despite Kinsky only making one appearance so far this season, there could still be a chance with a run in the first-team if he impresses.
Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison slammed Vicario in his role for Brighton’s second goal in a 2-2 draw, as he reacted slowly to the strike from outside of the box by Yasin Ayari.
The Italian has experienced a mixed spell in his arrival, with his mistakes causing frustration for the supporters, as well as Vicario clashing with Tottenham fans.
With Kinsky performing impressively and his belief in trusting the “process”, an opportunity to take the number-one spot could be on the cards.
