Eddie Howe: Pundit issues ‘amazing’ Newcastle claim after training ground reveal
Eddie Howe deserves more credit for Newcastle United’s recent upturn in form.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Magpies’ recent improvement.
Newcastle are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games and have won their last three.

On 12 February, The Athletic revealed some of the changes Howe has made at Newcastle since his appointment on 8 November.
These include training ground TVs showing player celebrations from recent matches and with standout stats also being shared around the club’s Benton HQ.
Much praise has gone to Newcastle’s £92million spend in January but Kenny insists Howe deserves more credit.
“Even though they have had these three wins, the new players haven’t been in,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Trippier has been the big one, Targett and Burn have only played once.
“Guimaraes has made two cameo appearances and Wood has barely done anything.
“I like Eddie, he’s a brilliant manager. I like how he works and how he talks. He has turned that club around.
“I always thought Newcastle were unlucky earlier this season, they were never hammered.
“They were always in the game and they needed that extra bit of quality. Howe has given them that.
“I think it has taken time for him to settle as well but Newcastle are seeing the results of his hard work now.
“I just think he needs a bit more respect for the amazing work he has put in.”

Newcastle have been lifted out of the relegation zone thanks to their improved form.
Howe’s side are next in action against West Ham on Saturday (19 February).
In other news, a pundit has warned one of Newcastle’s January recruits could be sold in the summer.
