Odsonne Edouard has all of the attributes to be a big success in England and West Ham should bite Celtic’s hand off if they can sign him for £10million, according to Paul Robinson.

The former Spurs and England goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 23-year-old “would be a great signing for any club” this summer.

This site revealed on Wednesday that Borussia Dortmund have joined the race to sign the French striker who will enter the final year of his Celtic contract in just over a month.

Football Insider understands West Ham are in pole position to land the striker and are currently laying the groundwork for a deal in the upcoming window.

Celtic fear they may loose Edouard for as little as £8-10million at the end of the season given his contract situation.

When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the Hoops striker’s future, Robinson said: “He would be a great signing for any club, especially if you can get him for £10m.

“You’d bite their hand off at that price.

“Edouard is a top, top player who has a lot of strings to his bow. He can drift wide, come deep and score goals. The Premier League would suit him as a player.

“I could see him settling in well if he moved to West Ham. I think he will have a big impact if he comes.”
