Christiansen has moved quickly to bolster the Leeds midfield and has opted to bring two international into the side, pushing O’Kane and most likely Kalvin Phillips down the pecking order.
Holland star Vurnon Anita has joined on a free from Newcastle, while 10-time Poland international star Mateusz Klich has signed a deal to move from FC Twente.
With the two signing, Christiansen must choose between offloading Phillips or O’Kane and after last season’s showing, the injury prone O’Kane should be pushed through the exit door with Phillips still learning and growing.
