Elliot Anderson’s agent is ‘very busy’ as Nottingham Forest’s asking price revealed

Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson is drawing attention from several top clubs as he continues to impress at the City Ground.

It is believed Anderson is Manchester United’s top midfield target as they continue to build a team for the future.

Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in Anderson alongside the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and his former club Newcastle United

Forest value Anderson highly, with The Telegraph reporting on 17 November Sean Dyche’s side are holding out for a fee in excess of £100million for his services.

Stefan Borson baffled after Elliot Anderson latest

Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider the agents involved in any potential transfer for Anderson are “very busy” following the recent reports.

Forest signed Anderson from Newcastle in the summer of 2024, with the deal worth around £35m.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “I don’t understand the whole situation. I mean, it was £75m about two weeks ago.

“In any event, I don’t really understand why there’s so much press about it, and why there’s such a movement. I mean, he’s been okay, but Forest have obviously performed pretty poorly so far this season.

“It doesn’t strike me as a player that anybody’s going to pay £100m for. I think the agents are very busy on that one by the sound of things. I mean, it doesn’t make much sense other than that I suppose.”

Nottingham Forest get Anderson transfer boost

Anderson has emerged as an important player for England over the past couple of months, increasing his transfer value.

The 23-year-old was handed his international debut in September and has now started in five of his six outings for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Provided the midfielder’s form doesn’t drop over the coming months, he is in a strong position for a place in next summer’s World Cup squad.

However, Anderson’s immediate priority is helping Forest remain in the Premier League, with his side currently sitting 16th in the table, one point above the relegation zone.
