Emmanuel Agbadou sends message to Wolves fans after confirmed news

Wolves signing Emmanuel Agbadou has taken to social media to address his new fans after sealing a move to the Premier League club.

The 27-year-old joined from French side Stade Reims for a reported fee of £16.6million, signing a four-and-a-half year deal at the club, who have the option of an extra 12 months.

Agbadou is the first signing of Vitor Pereira’s tenure at the club, with the Portuguese coach replacing Gary O’Neil back in December.

Wolves have had an impressive upturn in form since Pereira took over, winning two, drawing one, and losing in his four games at the helm.

The West Midlands club have since moved out of the relegation zone, sitting level on points with Ipswich in 18th, but with a one-goal better goal difference.

The centre-back was a key player for Stade Reims, starting all 15 of his games across all competitions, and failing to make a goal contribution in his 1343 minutes of action.

Wolves are in the midst of an injury crisis at the heart of defence, with Yerson Mosquera and Toti Gomes both out for the foreseeable future.

Agbadou is ‘excited’ about the move, taking to Instagram to say: “Excited to be joining the Wolves! New adventure, new challenges. Like wolves, we will move forward united, with strength and determination.

“With God, all things are possible: ‘With Him, we will do exploits.’ Ready to give everything for this new chapter!”

Agbadou is in line to make his first appearance in Wolves’ FA Cup third round clash with Briston City on Saturday (January 11).

Attention will then return to their battle to remain in the Premier League, taking on in-form Newcastle just four days later.
