Enzo Maresca handed blow on international duty as concern over one star emerges

Enzo Maresca may not be able to rely on the fitness of one star against Nottingham Forest after the international break.

Chelsea have numerous players on the sidelines, and Cole Palmer has been ruled out until November with a groin injury.

The Blues travel to Nottingham Forest after the international break looking for back-to-back Premier League wins after Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

Maresca’s side currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, five points behind league leaders Arsenal.

Estevao could miss Nottingham Forest clash

Estevao scored a dramatic 95th minute winner for Chelsea against Liverpool, his first goal for the club.

Maresca would have been delighted at Estevao scoring twice for Brazil against South Korea, but the 18-year-old could miss his nations next match against Japan.

As per ge.globol [12 October], Estevao has tested positive for the flu and is a doubt for the Japan game, although the Brazil medical team expect him to be available for selection.

Enzo Maresca potentially dealt another blow

Estevao joined Chelsea as a future prodigy for Maresca, but the Brazilian is quickly becoming a more important player than first expected.

Maresca has plenty of options down the flanks, but Pedro Neto, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho are all not in form.

Estevao has been one of Chelsea’s brightest performers this season, with his impact off the bench usually positive.

The young winger is always looking to take on his full-back and now just needs to add those goals and assists to his game.
