Erling Haaland: Man City tipped for Champions League glory after source’s transfer update
Man City will win the Champions League if they sign Erling Haaland this summer.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Light Blues’ hunt for a striker.
A Man City source told Football Insider on 12 February they are in pole position to sign the 21-year-old superstar as his father Alf Inge wants his son to sign for his former club.

Haaland has a £68million release clause that activates at the end of the season meaning the competition for his signature will be red-hot.
Kenny claims there won’t be a title race for “the next few years” if Haaland moves to the Etihad.
“City don’t have a striker and are still scoring goals for fun,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“They are favourites to win the league without a proper striker in the team.
“If they sign Haaland, that’s big, give them the title for next season. I don’t know how we are going to deal with Man City.
“We all want to see the best players in the Premier League but if he went to Man City it would pretty much end any title race for the next few years.
“The guy is an absolute machine, he is unstoppable and I have no doubt he could score goals in the Premier League.
“They also want to do well in Europe. Haaland is the signing you make if you want to win the Champions League.
“That’s what they want and you can see them winning it if he joins.”

Haaland has scored 80 goals in 79 total appearances for Dortmund.
He has scored 16 in 14 league games this term.
In other news, Kieran Maguire has revealed Man City can thank Premier League chiefs as Friday news means a £176m per year payout is on the cards.
