Erling Haaland: This is why Man City could win race to superstar signing – expert
Erling Haaland could favour a move to Man City over Real Madrid because of the chances Pep Guardiola’s side create.
That is the view of former Spurs and England number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the race to sign the 21-year-old’s future.
This site revealed on 12 February that Man City are in pole position to sign Haaland when the transfer window re-opens.

The Athletic‘s David Ornstein has claimed (7 March) the Borussia Dortmund striker will make a decision on his future over the next few weeks.
Real Madrid are said to be the other club leading the chase for the centre-forward.
When asked for his assessment of the striker’s future, Robinson told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “The appeal of Real Madrid is always there.
“It’s Real Madrid. Regardless of their situation, they are a global attraction who are one of, if not the biggest club in the world.
“Man City cannot compete with them in terms of stature. The attraction would be playing in the Premier League under Pep Guardiola.

“At City he would have the opportunity to score a bagful of goals at a team that creates a lot of chances. If he joined City he would undoubtedly be the highest scorer in the league because of the chances City create.
“When City played United at Old Trafford they beat them 2-0 but it could have been 22-0 if they had an [Sergio] Aguero, [Harry] Kane or Haaland. I think the amount of chances City create will appeal to him.”
