‘Ethan Ampadu is not good enough’ – Leeds United fans fume as footage analysed
Leeds United supporters have questioned whether or not Ethan Ampadu is good enough to start under Daniel Farke after his performance against Sunderland on Monday (17 February).
It was a crucial clash at the top end of the Championship, and one that the Yorkshire giants came out on top of with a 2-1 win.
There was late drama at Elland Road as Pascal Struijk’s second goal of the game found the back of the net in the 95th minute to earn them a crucial three points.
Daniel Farke’s side returned to the top of the Championship after coming back from behind against Sunderland as they continue to push toward a Premier League return.
They will return to action on Monday (24 February) against second-place Sheffield United in a massive Championship fixture.
Ethan Ampadu could be axed by Leeds
However, Leeds supporters have questioned whether or not the club captain should be starting that game.
Fans felt that Ampadu was rolled too easily inside their own box for Wilson Isidor’s opening goal for Sunderland.
The Wales international also struggled on the ball as he wasn’t accurate with any of his attempted long balls throughout the game.
Ampadu also lost all four of his ground duels and only managed to win one of his three attempted aerial duels while making two fouls as he struggled to get into the game.

Supporters are questioning Ethan Ampadu
The 24-year-old’s performance left fans unimpressed, with some claiming that he would be rolled “week in week out” if the Whites got promoted to the Premier League.
Others pushed the fact that he is naturally a defensive midfielder and that he is only good as a “back up” when it comes to playing centre-back.
