Evangelos Marinakis will ‘prove a point’ at Nottingham Forest with Ange Postecoglou sack decision
Evangelos Marinakis has been backed to prove a point when he reaches his Ange Postecoglou sack decision at Nottingham Forest.
Postecoglou is under immense pressure at the City Ground, despite only being appointed on Trentside last month.
The Australian is yet to guide his side to a single win in the Premier League, picking up just one point from his four games in charge.
Forest are slipping closer to the relegation zone, and their supporters have already lost patience with the former Tottenham boss.

Ange Postecoglou tipped to be sacked
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Postecoglou may actually get sacked during the international break.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that Marinakis will prove a point by dismissing the underperforming manager.
Nuno Espirito Santo was brutally sacked earlier this season, after he had a falling out with the Nottingham Forest owner.
Wyness added that Marinakis will not hesitate to make another difficult decision regarding the future of Postecoglou.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Marinakis is not going to be shy, as we know, in making a decision.
“On balance, I think that Ange may actually be in for the chop. I think that Marinakis is not going to suffer the run that he’s had.
“Unless there’s something behind the scenes that has gone on that we’re not aware of, I think Marinakis will prove the point, and I think he may actually pull the plug. I would not be surprised to see some news during the international break that the manager’s gone and a new one is in place.
“It’s that time of the season when it’s getting earlier and earlier in terms of managers having to prove themselves. But listen, Postecoglou did inherit a good squad, but he hasn’t got things firing as I thought he would do.”
Nottingham Forest have ‘queue’ of managers who want Postecoglou’s job
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest will have a queue of prospective managers if they sack Postecoglou, sources have told Football Insider.

Sources say that Forest is still a very attractive job prospect, even with the chaos surrounding the club.
The chance to manage in the Premier League and Europa League is a very exciting proposition for many and could cancel out the lack of job security.
If Postecoglou is sacked, then Forest will be looking for their third manager of the season, but are still likely to have a number of interested parties in the role.
