Evanilson responds to Marcos Senesi’s ‘just the start message’ amid Bournemouth exit whispers
Marcos Senesi is facing an uncertain future at Bournemouth, and his latest social media message has caught the attention of teammate Evanilson.
Senesi has been on the south coast since his move from Feyenoord in the summer of 2022, and has made 89 appearances for the Cherries.
Last season, the centre-back’s campaign was plagued by a hamstring injury, meaning he started just 13 games in the league.
Andoni Iraola‘s side set a new record Premier League points total of 56, on their way to a top 10 finish, just nine points off European football.

Senesi could depart Bournemouth
Senesi’s Bournemouth contract expires in just 12 months time, meaning that the Cherries need to either cash in this summer or tie him down to a new deal, to ensure they don’t lose him on a free next year.

Reportedly, both Real Sociedad and Villarreal are interested in acquiring the services of the Argentine, along with a number of Italian clubs.
Amid the rumours, Senesi took to Instagram to share some photos of his off-season training ahead of the upcoming campaign, with the caption: “This is just the start.”
Cherries striker Evanilson commented three fire emojis underneath the post, to show his support.
Bournemouth can’t afford to lose Zabarnyi
Football Insider Verdict
If Senesi departs, he will be far from the only player Iraola loses this summer.
With Dean Huijsen joining Real Madrid and Liverpool confirming the signing of Milos Kerkez, Bournemouth have already seen two of their starting backline from last season leave.
To make matters worse, Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to sign for Arsenal rather than returning to the Cherries, meaning they have lost their number one shot stopper from the 2024/25 campaign as well.
Perhaps the most concerning news of the lot, however, is that Illia Zabarnyi has been heavily linked with Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.
Zabarnyi was so crucial for Bournemouth last season, and so far they are standing firm on their £70m valuation of the Ukrainian.
However, if the centre-back eventually makes the switch to France, it will leave Iraola with several monumental holes to fill.
