Everton backed to beat ‘a number of teams’ to Oleksandr Zinchenko after journalist’s update – pundit
Alan Hutton has suggested that Oleksandr Zinchenko could be the “backbone” of Frank Lampard’s Everton side.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Premier League defender is adamant that Zinchenko could become a key player at Goodison.
According to the Liverpool Echo‘s Chris Beesley (23 June), Everton have shown interest in signing the 25-year-old this summer.

The Ukrainian has two years left on his contract at the Etihad but is believed to be interested in playing more regular football.
Hutton believes a move to Goodison Park could be exactly what the Ukraine international is looking for.
“Frank Lampard’s trying to build something and he can be the backbone of that team so I think it would be a good move for him.” he told Football Insider.
“I think there will be a number of teams looking for his services.
“If you watch him, he’s very capable of playing in midfield. He’s versatile, he can play high up on the left, he can play left back so, that’s another tick in the box.
“I think Frank Lampard will be looking to get people like that in especially if he can’t spend a lot of money.

“He’ll want to have a player in who can play two or three positions and Zinchenko’s very good at all of those positions that I mentioned so I think it would be a good move.”
“He’ll be a guy who’s heavily relied on for his experience in that team.“
In other news, pundit claims Everton could now sign Georginio Wijnaldum as transfer decision made.
