Everton boss Frank Lampard could be four games from ‘the chop’ after latest – pundit
Alan Hutton is adamant Frank Lampard is “the right guy” for Everton despite a winless start to the season.
However, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Tottenham and Aston Villa defender suggested the 44-year-old could be four games from the sack.
The Toffees are yet to win a game in six Premier League outings this season.
On Saturday, Lampard’s side drew 0-0 draw with Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby (3 September).
Speaking to club media (3 September), Conor Coady claimed the Blues are “moving in the right direction” despite recent results.
The defender added that everyone at the club is “coming together”.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Charlotte Cohen if Lampard is in desperate need of a win, Hutton said:
“I think all managers, if they go through a run of ten games or more where it’s not going well, then of course you’re the one that gets the chop.

“It is just the nature of the beast. If it continues on bad form then yes, he will be under pressure. I still believe they’ve got the right guy.
“A lot of things have gone against him, whether it be injuries or whatever. It has been difficult, especially towards the end of last season. He is not improved the squad massively, but if he gets his philosophy over and the boys all buy into it then I think Everton should be alright.“
