Everton ‘doing their homework’ on Hamza Igamane deal – ‘he’s expected to move’
Everton are currently “doing their homework” on Hamza Igamane ahead of a potential deal, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the 22-year-old is someone who has “Premier League eyes on him.”
The Rangers striker is currently under contract until 2029, and because of that a move in the January transfer window is seen as unlikely.
Philippe Clement doesn’t expect the Morocco Under-23 international to leave before the 3 February deadline, but he has conceded that the forward is likely going to play at a higher level in the future.
Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that Igamane could leave in the summer transfer window.
Everton are not expected to have the finances to persuade Ranges into selling Igamane during the current transfer window.
Hamza Igamane could replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Everton
Igamane has been a standout player for the Gers this season, having scored nine goals and provided one assist in 20 Scottish Premiership matches.
The Merseyside giants could be in the market for a striker during the summer if they do not agree to a new contract with Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

David Moyes’ side are expected to be active before the transfer window draws to a close though in a bid to strengthen the club for the second half of the campaign.
