Everton Exclusive: Club submit £15m Tim Iroegbunam offer

Lazio have submitted an offer worth up to £15m for Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam, sources have told Football Insider.

The Italians have targeted the 22-year-old as they look to bolster their midfield options before the window closes.

Everton have a decision to make on whether to let go of Iroegbunam, who has started in five of their last six Premier League matches.

Premier League and other Serie A sides are monitoring Iroegbunam’s situation in the final week of the January window.

Everton have been struggling with injuries of late, and David Moyes has leaned on Iroegbunam to help the team through that crisis, as he handed him a sustained run in the team.

Everton’s previous stance on Tim Iroegbunam sale

Former Toffees chief executive Keith Wyness exclusively told Football Insider in November that Everton wouldn’t let Iroegbunam leave in the January window, given their shortage of options in the midfield.

Idrissa Gana Gueye has been away at AFCON of late, and that has coincided with an injury to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

That has seen Iroegbunam take on an increased level of importance for the Merseysiders in recent weeks, and his tally of 11 Premier League starts in 2025-26 has already doubled his final total from last term.

The ex-Aston Villa man has taken the opportunity that has come his way, but that may not be enough to keep him at the club long-term.

Harrison Armstrong has burst onto the first-team scene of late, and with Gueye now back in the fold and Dewsbury-Hall nearing a return, Moyes may now feel that he has adequate cover in the middle of the park.

Everton may have had little intention of selling Iroegbunam prior to the winter window getting underway, but they will now face a key decision in the coming days.

Everton close in on Brooke Norton-Cuffy deal

Football Insider revealed on Sunday that £20m will be enough for Everton to sign Brooke Norton-Cuffy in the January window.

The Premier League outfit have their eyes fixed on the Genoa star as the potential answer to their right-back issues, and are showing a strong interest in him in the latter stages of the winter window.

The Serie A side have placed a pricetag of £17-£20m on the England youth international’s head, with an offer at the upper end of that range understood to be highly likely to tempt his club into a sale.

Norton-Cuffy is a former Arsenal academy graduate but has never played Premier League football so far in his career, with the 22-year-old previously enjoying loan spells with the likes of Millwall and Coventry City.
