Everton expected 3-5-2 v Stoke: 18-year-old starts

Everton are set to name an unchanged starting line-up for Wednesday night’s Premier League game against Stoke.

The Toffees travel to the Britannia Stadium for a league clash and youngster Tom Davies is set to retain his place in the heart of the midfield.

The 18-year-old has managed to force his way into the starting line-up and completed 90 minutes in each of the last three league games.

He has now made nine senior appearances this season and looks to be an important member of Ronald Koeman’s squad.

Everton will be hoping to cement their seventh-placed position in the league table and continue their strong form.

Joel Robles looks set to start his sixth consecutive league game in goal and has become the first-choice option ahead of Maarten Stekelenburg.

Koeman is likely to stick with his three-man defensive system and Phil Jagielka is likely to be on the bench.

Mason Holgate, Ashley Williams and Ramiro Funes Mori are expected to start in defence and will try to nullify the Stoke attack.

Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman are set to continue in the wing-back positions, wit the latter making his 200th Premier League appearance for the Merseyside club.

Davies is likely to join Ross Barkley and Gareth Barry in the central midfield positions, meaning that January signing Morgan Schneiderlin is kept on the bench.

The frontline is expected to be led once again by forward Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas.
