Ademola Lookman was handed his full Everton debut in their 6-3 win against Bournemouth on Saturday – and fans took to Twitter to hail the young forward.
January signing Lookman was one of three changes made to the starting XI by manager Ronald Koeman following the midweek draw against Stoke.
Kevin Mirallas, Tom Davies and Mason Holgate dropped to the bench as Lookman, Gareth Barry and James McCarthy came into the side.
The alterations paid dividends as Everton extended their unbeaten Premier League run to seven matches with an impressive victory against the Cherries.
Koeman’s side flew into a three-goal lead after 29 minutes through a double from Romelu Lukaku and a rare goal from McCarthy but a persistent Bournemouth scored twice in the second half through Josh King.
Lukaku sealed the win with his two late goals to become the first player to score two Premier League hat-tricks this season and cap a fine afternoon for the blue side of Merseyside.
Ross Barkley added a late sixth after Harry Arter had added Bournemouth’s third.
Everton fans were delighted with the win and the promise shown by young winger Lookman, who played 71 minutes of the clash before being replaced by Kevin Mirallas.
