Everton fans suggest Sean Dyche being sacked despite win
Everton fans were calling for manager Sean Dyche to be sacked despite winning their first game of the season against Crystal Palace on Saturday (September 28).
The Toffees had collected just one point from their opening five games and although Saturday’s contest did not start too well, the 2-1 triumph moved them out of the bottom three for the first time this term.
It was a huge personal boost for Dyche following a wretched start to the new campaign for the Merseysiders.
Palace captain Marc Guehi opened the scoring at Goodison Park in the 10th minute with a poacher’s finish from a well-worked corner.
Now Everton’s top scorer Dwight McNeil then equalised with a beautiful long-range effort, something he does fairly consistently for the club.
McNeil then bagged his second with a close-range effort to help secure the club’s first Premier League win of the season.
Everton and Dyche have picked themselves up from 20th place, leapfrogging Oliver Glasner’s side and heading in to 15th.
Everton fans still want Sean Dyche out
The former Burnley boss successfully led them to survival after replacing Frank Lampard in January of last year but their start to this campaign has been dismal.
Everton fans flocked to X, formally known as Twitter, to let Dyche know exactly how they feel, urging the club to sack the Englishman.
