Everton in ‘real trouble’ after expert’s Jordan Pickford transfer claim – pundit
Everton could be in “real trouble” after the January transfer window amid speculation over the futures of several players.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Toffees’ transfer plans.
According to the Liverpool Echo‘s Chris Beasley (1 December), Michael Keane, 29, is set to leave the Toffees on loan during the January transfer window.

There is also speculation around Jordan Pickford’s future with Tottenham expert John Wenham telling this site on 11 December that Spurs are “absolutely looking” at signing him.
McManus fears how Frank Lampard’s side could shape up after the winter window closes.
“Well, it looks like Keane is going to leave one way or another,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“Then you have Pickford’s future. You worry about how Everton will line up after January if those deals happen.
“They are in real trouble down there at the bottom, they just aren’t scoring goals and that will be the reason they could go down.
“Do they have the money to invest in January? There is always talk about the money at Everton and whether they actually have any to spend.
“hey always seem to so they could go again in January, reinvest after selling. But if you lose two big players like that then it is very hard to replace them in a January window.
“With the new stadium on the way you have to worry for them if those transfers happen.”

Everton’s season resumes with a home game against Wolves on Boxing Day.
They sit one place and one point above the relegation zone.
