Everton may be about to sign perfect James Tarkowski ally after Sky reveal – pundit
Conor Coady and James Tarkowski would be a “good solid centre-half pairing” for Everton, according to Paddy Kenny.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Sheffield United and Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper insisted Everton need to tighten up their defence as they will not score many goals this season.
Coady was left out of the Wolves side that lost 2-1 to Leeds United in their opening Premier League game on Saturday (6 August) amid speculation over his future.

Sky Sports News reported on Sunday (7 August) that the 29-year-old is now set to join Everton on loan with an option to make the deal permanent.
The Liverpool-born star still has three years left to run on his Wolves contract but wants to play regular football ahead of the World Cup in Qatar in November.
Wolves have switched to a back four this season with Bruno Lage preferring Max Kilman and Nathan Collins against Leeds.
“If they can get Conor Coady in and get that one over the line, that’s a player with good experience who knows the Premier League,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“If they get him next to James Tarkowski, that will be a good solid centre-half pairing.
“If they are not going to score many goals because they’ve not get many strikers, they’ve got to make sure they are tight at the back. It’s important they don’t concede goals.”

Everton are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements after Ben Godfrey and Yerry Mina picked up injuries during their 1-0 loss to Chelsea on Saturday (6 August).
As quoted by the Liverpool Echo after the game, Frank Lampard revealed both players could be “out for a while” after Godfrey fractured his leg while Mina suffered an ankle injury.
In other news, Everton went on a Saturday transfer mission for a striker and £20million will seal the deal.
