Everton may now accept Dominic Calvert-Lewin offer to fund ‘vital’ moves – pundit
Everton may have to sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer if they are to improve the squad as a whole.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Everton’s financial situation.
The Toffees have lost £373million over the last three years, almost four times the £105m clubs are allowed to lose under top-flight FFP rules.

The club have sold Richarlison for £60million this summer with £50million already paid and another £10million due in add-ons, as per Sky Sports.
However, Kenny claims the Toffees may have to sacrifice another star in a bid to get more recruits through the door.
“They might have to sell if they are going to sign anyone else,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We know they have no money so the thing to do is sell one of the top players and then reinvest in the rest of the squad.
“That is easier said than done but there has been a lot of talk about Calvert-Lewin leaving this summer.
“So maybe he might go for a decent fee and that will allow Everton to strengthen two or three other vital areas.
“It’s a desperate move but I don’t see what else they can do because they are in a really tricky spot.”

Calvert-Lewin spent the majority of the 2021-22 Premier League season injured.
He made 17 appearances and scored five goals with his last strike keeping Everton in the Premier League during a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace (19 May).
