Everton told to stand firm on selling ‘irreplaceable’ Richarlison for £86m – Whelan
Everton simply cannot afford to let Richarlison leave for Paris Saint Germain this late in the transfer window.
That is the view of ex-Premier League striker Noel Whelan, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 24-year-old Brazillian attacker.
Transfer expert Nicolo Schira tweeted on 27 August that PSG have chosen Richarlison to replace Kylian Mbappe if he leaves for Real Madrid.

It is claimed that the club have met with Richarlison’s representatives and that the Toffees will demand at least £85.75million.
The forward is under contract at Goodison Park until 2024 after signing an extension in December 2019.
Richarlison has one goal and one assist to his name in 2021-22 and provided 16 goal contributions last term.
Whelan insists that Everton must do everything in their power to keep hold of their prize asset with the transfer cut off now so close.
“They have to resist the temptation, no matter what money is thrown at them,” he told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.
“I think he is a massive player for them. He is one of these players where if you let him go, he’s irreplaceable.
“If you try and replace him, you are going to end up spending a lot of money and end up not getting the same kind of quality.

“I think he’s a huge part of the Everton set-up. He creates goals, scores goals, he’s got a great relationship with Calvert-Lewin.
“The only way you can let these players go is if you’ve got time to go and get someone else in. It’s very hard to replace a player with that kind of ability.”
