Everton news: ‘Lazy’ Dele Alli set for talks after ‘rocking up in a Rolls-Royce’ to leave fans fuming – pundit

Dele Alli’s agent and personal team will be having words with him after a slow start to life at Everton.

That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the midfielder’s form.

Alli, 25, has made six appearances for Everton since joining from Tottenham in January, all off the bench.

However, he played no part as his side beat Newcastle United 1-0 on Thursday (17 March).

McAvennie insists the Toffees faithful will never take to Alli unless he starts to work harder.

“I’m a wee bit concerned about him. Missing out, that’s a big blow for him,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Goodison is surrounded by all those houses, it’s people who are down on their luck. They are hard-working people.

“He rocks up in a Rolls Royce. You can do that if you are producing on the pitch.

“That won’t go down well with the Everton fans. He was lazy at Tottenham.

“He can’t be lazy for Everton and be kicking about in a big car like that, the fans won’t have that.

“The boy has bundles of ability and I want him to do well. I want to see good players playing well.

“But he’s gone to Everton and done absolutely nothing so far. He can barely get a game.

“His agent and his team won’t be happy, first impressions matter and he hasn’t made a good one.”

In other news, a pundit has claimed ‘Lampard is mistaken’ as he’s set to blow ‘last hope’ of keeping Everton in the Premier League.
