Everton news: Michael Keane ‘won’t play again this season’ after ‘worst-ever’ display – Agbonlahor
Michael Keane will not play again for Everton this season after his “woeful” performance in the 5-0 loss to Tottenham last night (7 March), according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Keane put in one of the worst defensive performances he had ever seen.
The centre-back was hooked at half-time with Everton 3-0 down after scoring an own goal and being at fault for another goal in the opening 45 minutes.

As quoted by the Liverpool Echo today (8 March), Frank Lampard revealed Keane was suffering from an illness ahead of the game.
“I can’t see Michael Keane playing again for Everton this season,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Frank Lampard dragged him at half-time and he was woeful, I’ve never seen anything like it.
“He was ball watching for Harry Kane’s first goal, you both go for a header, he turns and runs in behind and you’re looking at the ball and not him. Honestly, it was so baffling.
“Mason Holgate was also poor. That defence was shocking. Pickford couldn’t catch a cold yesterday.
“Some of the defending was woeful so it’s going to be a long end to the season for Lampard and a long summer trying to recruit the players.
“The stand out worst performer was definitely Michael Keane. He made Harry Kane look like Kylian Mbappe for speed. I was baffled watching.
“That’s why Lampard dragged him, he’ll have thought ‘Hang on, that’s probably the worst defensive performance I’ve ever seen’.”

Keane has started 24 of Everton’s 25 Premier League games this season.
The England international, 29, is under contract at Goodison Park until the summer of 2025.
