‘Everton not happy that executive signing of the summer secret has leaked’
Everton have been left frustrated after new of a behind the scenes deal involving the club was made public earlier than planned.
As the club move into their new Hill Dickinson Stadium on Bramley Moore Dock ahead of next season, this will be a busy summer for the club.
Following the takeover of the Toffees from Farhad Moshiri by the Friedkin Group back in December, the new owners have plenty of work to do.
Everton currently have just 14 senior players on their books, meaning they must recruit heavily for David Moyes before the start of next season.
However, it is now just one the pitch were changes are happening, but behind the scenes at the club as well.

Nick Cox to leave Man United
Earlier this week, it emerged that Man United academy director Nick Cox is set to become technical director at Everton, in what will be a major coup for the Toffees.
Cox is extremely highly rated for his work in developing and recruiting young players, although his new employers are seemingly not happy with every aspect of this move.
According to a new update from the Daily Mail, the Merseyside club are not impressed by the fact that news of Cox’s move to the club has been leaked.
Everton apparently see his appointment as the “executive signing of the summer”, and believed they had been able to agree that deal in complete secrecy.
It is stated that some of Cox’s close connections at Man United had only learned of his departure late last week, while other linked to the players he had been working had been given no indication of his exit.

Everton should not be too concerned about news emerging
Football Insider Verdict
While not officially announced yet, Cox’s move to Merseyside now looks as though it is a mere formality to be confirmed in the coming days.
So while they may be frustrated to some extent in terms of losing some strength to the statement an official announcement out of nothing would have made, it does not look as though it will cost them.
Indeed, there are plenty of moves in football that are leaked before being confirmed, so this is far from a one-off.
Beyond that, given Everton are still going to get their man, it means they are going to benefit from the impact that Cox can have in the background at the club.
Given how promising an appointment many see this as, it should still be considered a major boost for them to get their man, especially given they have convinced to leave a club the size of Man United.
As a result this still looks to be rather exciting for Everton, particularly at a time when they have so much to do to strengthen their squad this summer.
