Kieran Maguire: Everton ‘over the moon’ as £400m ‘money-for-nothing’ deal on the cards
Everton will be “over the moon” as the Premier League’s negotiations over a £400million NFT deal gather pace.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the impact of the mooted deal on the Toffees.
Per the Daily Mail last Friday (18 February), the top flight is considering offers from four NFT firms worth around £400m over four years.

The Athletic reported on Tuesday (22 February) that there has been some pushback from players over ramifications for intellectual property rights.
Everton posted a league-record loss of £139.9m for the last financial year.
Maguire insists that the Toffees will welcome any additional sponsorship revenue with open arms.
“I’m sure they’ll be over the moon,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“From the club’s perspective, it’s money for nothing. It’s pure profit as far as they are concerned.
“I believe the money will be linked to where you finish in the table. With Everton having a disappointing season, that is the one caveat.
“Everton are sensible enough to acknowledge the drivers of these NFT products.
“There are clubs who have bigger global fanbases that are the ones driving these deals.”

Everton, who lost 1-0 at home to Man City yesterday (26 February), are currently 17th in the Premier League.
Frank Lampard’s side are next in action against Boreham Wood in the fifth round of the FA Cup next Thursday (3 March).
