Everton player ratings v West Brom: 4/10 defender must be dropped after horror show

Goalkeeper and defenders

Goalkeeper – Jordan Pickford: 7/10 – The young Englishman looked solid between the sticks for the Toffees, and made a number of comfortable saves. His distribution was excellent, however he was furious at his defenders during the first half.
Right-Back – Jonjo Kenny: 7/10 – Looked like Everton’s biggest threat during the first half, and linked up really wel with new signing Theo Walcott. Notched Everton’s first shot on target of 2018 also.
Centre-Half – Mason Holgate: 5/10 – Did not handle the aerial threat that West Brom brought, seemed to look aggressive with a few needless pushes of the Baggies ranks.
Centre-Half – Ashley Williams: 4/10 – Failed to cope with most of the long balls played by the Albion, and was directly responsible for the opening goal by letting Rodriguez through on goal. Pickford was furious with him in the first half.
Left-Back – Cuco Martina: 6/10 – Managed to look after Matt Philips for most of the game, and was clever to win a few throw-ins.
