Senior player Martina just can’t seem to catch a break at Everton.
He has been sidelined for almost two months and once he returns to the side he has been thrust into playing at left-back, and his inability to play there was telling throughout the game.
The 28-year-old’s one-footedness was painfully obvious in a poor performance from the ex-Southampton defender.
Allardcye needs to have a think about his full-back options in January, because away from the aging Leighton Baines and the injured Seamus Coleman, there is little experience and little quality.
