Kieran Maguire: Everton ‘have got in early doors’ and could announce £10m-a-year deal very soon
Everton could announce a naming rights deal for their new stadium in the coming weeks as a sponsor will be keen to get onboard as early as possible.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the latest news from behind the scenes at the Bramley-Moore Dock.
CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale wrote in an open letter to supporters last Friday (23 December) that two new partners relating to the stadium would soon be announced.

A sponsorship broker told this site on Tuesday (27 December) that the club’s commercial department is close to sewing up a naming rights deal after giving interested parties a tour of the construction site last month.
It is understood that the Toffees are aiming to secure £10million per year for the branding privileges for the 52,888-seater venue.
Maguire claims that an announcement could now be imminent.
“It is likely to be a multi-year deal,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“If we take a look at what happened with the Etihad, Reebok, Amex and Emirates, the sponsors want a long-term relationship with the club.
“Getting in early doors is absolutely critical for a commercial partner as they want to extract maximum value at the earliest possible point.

“I think it’s entirely possible that Everton could announce a naming rights partner soon. We are just 18 months away from opening night after all.
“I think all this points to the fact that we might see movement soon with respect of the naming rights.”
