Everton: Pundit issues ‘100 per cent’ claim about Nathan Patterson replacing Seamus Coleman
Nathan Patterson is the “solution” for Everton and their Seamus Coleman problem, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Coleman has always heavily relied on his speed and has not “lost a yard of pace”.
The Republic of Ireland and Toffees skipper has started all five Premier League games under Frank Lampard.

His latest disastrous display came on Monday (7 March) as Everton were hammered 5-0 by Tottenham.
Patterson was not even in the matchday squad for their trip to north London and is yet to make his Premier League debut since his January move from Rangers.
The Scotland international’s only appearance for his new club was a start in the 2-0 win over Boreham Wood in the FA Cup earlier this month (3 March) but he was hooked after half-time.
As quoted by the Scottish Sun on Monday, Lampard insisted Patterson must take the latest snub “on the chin” and he is still being molded into a “high level” player.
“Seamus Coleman has lost a yard of pace,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“He relied a lot on his pace and now he’s getting done a lot for pace.
“Nathan Patterson could be a solution, 100 per cent.
“He’s a younger, fresher right-back and is definitely a solution.”

Patterson played 11 times for Rangers in the first half of the season, including three appearances in the Europa League.
The 20-year-old signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with Everton following his £16million move from the Gers at the turn of the year.
In other news, Kieran Maguire has issued a ‘huge’ claim after an ‘unusual’ Alisher Usmanov-Everton twist.
