Everton set new price tag for Dominic Calvert-Lewin – Sources
Everton will demand in excess of £40million for striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the Toffees will want a huge fee for Calvert-Lewin, 27, if they are to sell him in the off-season.
However, it is believed that Sean Dyche’s side could be forced to accept a lower offer than their new valuation amid their continued financial struggles.
Everton announced losses of £89.1million from last season in their latest accounts.

This follows their six-point deduction for a profit and sustainabiluty breach and amid another pending breach for a alleged violation in their 2022-23 accounts.
Premier League clubs must file their financial accounts by 30 June, meaning they would have to sanction players sales by then for them to register on their books for this season.
This could see the Toffees sell Calvert-Lewin for under their £40million valuation if they are under pressure to balance their books before July and avoid another sanction.
Well-placed sources have also told Football Insider (6 April) that Everton will be forced to sell some of their key stars before 30 June to balance their books.
Calvert-Lewin has struggled for form this season after bagging three goals in his first seven Premier League outings.
However, he has scored in his last two games – an 88th-minute equalising penalty in the Toffees’ 1-1 draw against Newcastle United on Tuesday (2 April) and the winner against Burnley on Saturday (6 April).

Everton moved up to 15th in the Premier League table after their 1-0 victory over the Clarets.
They are next set to play Chelsea away at Stamford Bridge next Monday night (15 April).
