Everton tipped to sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin after ‘shock’ update – pundit
Everton could sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the summer to help ease the club’s financial woes.
That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the stirker’s future.
An Everton source told this site on 21 March there is “big panic” in the boardroom about the consequences of being unable to comply with financial fair play.

Per the Financial Times last Wednesday (16 March), Everton are in talks over options to strengthen their balance sheet, including raising equity.
McAvennie claims Calvert-Lewin, 25, could be sold in the summer to help balance the books.
“He’s had a season that’s a bit like Everton’s, I don’t think he’s been able to show his best stuff,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He was brilliant last season and that’s when he got everyone’s attention.
“All of the talk at Everton is about the money and how much they might lose in the summer.
“Even if they stay up, you have to look at selling a few players to ease that burden.
“Calvert-Lewin is someone who will be in demand if he’s available. All the top clubs will be interested.
“Maybe not Liverpool, but Everton wouldn’t sell to them anyway.
“He has to be one of the most, if not the most valuable player they have so I would be shocked if he’s there next season.”

Calvert-Lewin returned to action against Newcastle (17 March) with 14 regulation minutes left to play and registered a crucial assist for Alex Iwobi to score the winner.
This was his first goal involvement since 28 August following a season ravaged by injuries.
In other news, four ‘£100,000-a-week’ stars could be at Everton next season after a ‘massive’ update.
