Everton to agree two more deals to follow Jordan Pickford agreement

Everton are working to agree new contracts with two first-team starters following recent news regarding Jordan Pickford.

Pickford is expected to pen a new deal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the coming days, which could see him remain on Merseyside until 2029.

The England international joined the Toffees back in 2017 from Sunderland, for a fee of around £30million.

Everton agreed a contract extension with James Tarkowski last week, and are now set to strengthen their backline further by confirming the future of their number one goalkeeper.

Everton eye two more contract extensions

After the Pickford news is confirmed, Everton will begin work on tying down two more first-team players.

James Garner is out of contract at the end of this season, and according to The Times, David Moyes’ side are looking to agree a new deal with the midfielder.

Garner has been one of the Toffees’ standout players so far this season, playing every single minute in the Premier League.

Everton are also working to extend the contract Vitalii Mykolenko, who has less than a year left on his current deal.

Mykolenko missed the start of the campaign with an injury, but has been a regular in the side since his return.

Everton are building for the future under David Moyes

Over the summer, Everton saw a number of out-of-contract players leave the club.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin departed after a nine-year spell on Merseyside, with Abdoulaye Doucoure also leaving at the end of his deal.

However, Everton did tie Jarrad Branthwaite down to a new contract, and that deal has turned out to be just one of many.

If they manage to get all of the pending extensions over the line, then the Toffees will be set for a number of seasons in several key positions.

Moyes has brought stability and control to the Toffees since his arrival, and it is clear that he is the driving factor behind players renewing their contracts and committing their future to the Merseyside club.
