‘Everton to seal permanent Carlos Alcaraz deal as major contract news emerges’
Carlos Alcaraz has been an incredible addition to David Moyes’ squad and Everton appear to already be lining up a permanent deal for the Argentine.
Despite starting just two games since joining on loan from Fluminense last month, his performances have not gone under the radar, especially when scoring and assisting in the 2-1 win at Selhurst Park.
With Crystal Palace star striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and Beto cancelling each other out, the 22-year-old stepped up on his first start for the club and buried a shot past Dean Henderson.
Supporters have quickly fallen in love with the former Southampton star, and with just 11 matches of the current league campaign remaining, those at Goodison Park will not be ready to see him leave.
Everton already learn details for Carlos Alcaraz permanent deal
According to GE Globo [26 February], the Toffees were already 30 per cent of the way to triggering a £15million deal to sign Alcaraz, plus £3million in add-ons, following his start against Brentford.
While that kind of money would have been eye-watering to the Goodison Park hierarchy just a matter of months ago, The Friedkin Group’s takeover has given Everton a new lease of life.

With 15 points now separating the Blues from the Premier League relegation zone, Moyes can begin thinking ahead of next season, and there is no reason why Alcaraz should not be part of future plans.
Although his loan spell at Juventus, only playing 12 times and not scoring, was far from ideal, and playing for Flamengo is clearly not at a high enough level, he has already proven himself in England before.
The Saints are well aware of the young midfielder’s talents, having seen him score eight times in 47 appearances at St Mary’s Stadium.

Abdoulaye Doucoure replacement ready as new contract decision made
While excitement will be building around the prospect of several new signings this summer, there are several players coming to the end of their contracts on Merseyside.
And according to Everton insider The Bobble, via X, the club have decided against triggering the one-year extension in Abdoulaye Doucoure‘s current deal, which would suggest an end to his time with the Toffees.
While the Mali international rebounded from being frozen out under Frank Lampard to prove key during Sean Dyche’s reign, his influence is not as central under Moyes and Alcaraz would be a prime candidate to fill that role longer term.
Jarrad Branthwaite, who has gained interest from Real Madrid, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be top of the list for contract extensions once the 2024/25 campaign comes to an end.
Luckily for Alcaraz, this could mean a very quick return to the top tier of English football, especially with new owners far more likely to splash £15million than Farhad Moshiri ever was.
