Everton told to sack Frank Lampard now as ‘favourite’ to replace him revealed – pundit
Now is the perfect time for Everton to sack Frank Lampard and bring in the experienced and feared Sean Dyche at Goodison Park.
That is the view of former Leeds striker Noel Whelan, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about who could replace Lampard at Goodison Park as pressure mounts on his job.
Sources told Football Insider on Thursday (5 January) that Everton are expected to sack Lampard ahead of their Premier League clash against Southampton.

Lampard’s latest loss with the Toffees came at the hands of Man United in the FA Cup on Friday afternoon, and it may well turn out to be his last match in charge of the club.
The Daily Mail reported on Wednesday (4 January) that former Burnley boss Dyche is favourite to replace Lampard as manager.
Whelan believes there is no better time than now for Everton to sack Lampard, and he’s backed Dyche to bring a “fear factor” to Merseyside.
“They have a squad which is better than quite a few in the Premier League,” Whelan told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury.
“They have a lot of good players – particularly out wide – but just haven’t found the right blend on the pitch.
“They’ve missed Calvert-Lewin, but they need more quality in that area – and they need it this month.
“But for Sean Dyche coming in, he could have that fear factor for the players.

“Unfortunately, maybe Lampard isn’t that guy. Dyche has been in these situations before, Lampard hasn’t.
“This is the perfect time to make a difficult decision like changing a manager.”
