Everton told to sign Armando Broja in double deal after £60m update – pundit
Noel Whelan has claimed Everton should ask for Chelsea stars Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher in a player-plus-cash swap for Anthony Gordon.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the young pair would “go a long way” to strengthening the faltering squad at Goodison Park.
According to talkSPORT (24 August), Everton have asked Chelsea to include Broja or Gallagher in any future offers for Gordon.

The report claims Frank Lampard’s side have rebuffed an offer worth an initial £50million plus £10million in add-ons.
As quoted by the Daily Mail (26 August), Lampard claimed he is close to pulling the plug in negotiations, with next week’s deadline complicating Everton’s search for a replacement.
Whelan cited recent links to Billy Gilmour and Michy Batshuayi – insisting a swap deal including Broja and Gallagher would be much more “attractive”.
He told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury: “That’s more of a tempting deal than the previous one.
“These are current players, players of a good age, and players who have had that experience in the Premier League and are sought-after.
“That to me is much more of an attractive proposition, and I’d be looking at that very seriously if I was Frank Lampard.
“If they can get both Broja and Gallagher through the door in return for Gordon, then it would be a great deal.

“Yes, he’s a big player but these are areas that Everton desperately need to strengthen.
“If they can try and include these two players, and maybe even squeeze out a bit of money – that will go a long way for Everton to feel like a stronger squad.”
