Everton told to sign Seny Dieng after source's reveal - pundit
Frank McAvennie has told Everton to sign another goalkeeper to push Jordan Pickford.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker insisted there is nothing better for a player than bringing in competition.
On Wednesday (9 November), sources told this site that the Toffees are lining up a move for Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Seny Dieng.
The 27-year-old is also attracting interest from Bournemouth, Monaco and Lille, all of which have been making regular checks on Dieng ahead of the January window.
The shot stopper will be joining England’s Jordan Pickford at the World Cup as he joins up with his national team Senegal.
Pickford has remained number one at Goodison Park with Asmir Begovic waiting in the wings after being signed as backup last summer.

Pickford has made 14 appearances for Frank Lampard’s side so far this season and has kept three clean sheets in that time.
McAvennie insisted the 28-year-old needs someone to push him for the number one spot.
“Competition is the best thing you can get, especially with goalkeepers,” he told Football Insider.
“They are fighting for each others’ position but they also help each other. But that is teamwork and it is great. You help him but you want his place.
“Sometimes keepers get their feet too well under the table and they have not got anyone pushing them. Get a decent number two in to push for number one.“
