David Moyes' Everton exit odds revealed after source's reveal

David Moyes' future as Everton manager is far from certain as cracks continue to show at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

In addition to making Merlin Rohl and Tyrique George's moves permanent, Jack Grealish arrived on another loan, while Christian Norgaard, Brennan Johnson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles were signed.

While the latter, who scored an audacious equaliser against Manchester United on Sunday, 6 September, fixes the right-back problem, the squad is far from ideal.

When The Friedkin Group (TFG) came aboard, there was promise of a push for Europe, but the owners have shown a huge lack of ambition and drive over the summer.

And now, TFG are looking for new investors, which would suggest that their minds are elsewhere, especially given their interest in Italian giants Roma.

Football Insider revealed on Saturday that Moyes could quit Everton despite his public stance that he would not do so.

It certainly wouldn't be a surprise to see the Scot walk away from what many supporters believe is a circus at the Hill Dickinson.

A buzzer-beating equaliser, especially one of Maitland-Niles' quality, is enough to make anyone forget the difficult times. Well, nearly anyone.

There is feeling that Moyes' future is on a knife-edge in 2026-27, and one major bookmaker's odds would suggest that an exit isn't impossible.

At the top of the list, Fulham's Alvaro Arbeloa is still favourite to leave next, being priced at 9/4, followed by Roberto De Zerbi at 4/1 and Unai Emery at 11/2.

Moyes is up next, priced at 15/2 to be the next Premier League manager to exit, whether that be his decision or that of the club, due to the current sitaution.

What has Moyes said about his future?

Moyes' future has been a major talking point for quite a few weeks now, and that doesn't appear to be going anywhere on Merseyside.

After revealing that he has yet to speak to Dan Friedkin since the takeover, the manager could not have been more certain in response to questions over his future.

He said: "I love Everton and always have done. It's reinvigorated me being back and now there's a little bump in the road. I need to get over the bump quickly and start looking at how I can make it go smoothly."

There is clearly some frustration behind the scenes, and that could quickly bubble over, but for now, he looks set on reaching new heights with the Toffees.
