David Moyes puts end to Everton exit whispers
David Moyes is focused on his job at Everton and is not exploring other options despite rumours of a possible exit in the coming months, sources have told Football Insider.
Moyes has come in for some criticism from Everton fans over the last 12 months despite their progress since his arrival.
He led the club to a 13th-placed finish in the Premier League last term and is looking to guide them back to the European spots in this campaign.
Despite such aims, Moyes' future is uncertain as it stands after the Friedkin Group revealed that they are open to selling the club earlier in October.
Prospective new owners could sack Moyes to bring in their own boss, but as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, he is not planning to leave anytime soon before his current contract expires next June.
The 63-year-old has been linked with taking over at Celtic, as Martin O'Neill approaches the end of his own deal north of the border.
David Moyes 'not panicking' despite Everton uncertainty
The Friedkin Group are yet to receive any concrete offers for Everton, but talks with consortiums could ramp up as the season progresses.
Moyes is yet to hold talks to extend his deal past next summer, but has no plans to leave the Toffees during this campaign unless he is forced out.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "David Moyes, there's no panic from his side of things. His focus will just be on the team right now and improving results for Everton. I'm sure there will be clubs who are keeping tabs on his situation for if he does become available and no new deal can be agreed at Everton.
"But look, it's one of those situations, Moyes is experienced enough to know that until the situation at Everton is resolved, he can continue to give his best for the club."
Eddie Howe's stance revealed on potential Everton move
It remains to be seen who Everton's current or new owners would be interested in hiring after possibly parting ways with Moyes, but Howe is sure to be high on their shortlists.
He remains out of work for now after surprisingly leaving Newcastle just weeks before the new season, but is now believed to be considering his next move after a short break.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Howe would not be interested in taking over at Everton or other mid-table clubs who may make a managerial change soon, such as Fulham or Crystal Palace.
He is currently being linked to the Man United job as Michael Carrick's job hangs by a thread.
