David Moyes tipped to be sacked by new Everton owners after TFG exit

The Friedkin Group's (TFG) future at the Hill Dickinson Stadium will have a defining factor on David Moyes' role as Everton manager.

That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that any new majority owners would make a change in the dugout.

Many feel that the Scot has been left in the dark during the summer transfer window, with his squad not strong enough to climb the Premier League table.

Despite that, the Toffees moved to ninth in the table before facing Ipswich Town on Saturday, 19 September, losing none of their first four games.

Moyes and his players have done extremely well to ignore the outside noise, but that hasn't been easy after the update that TFG are seeking new investors.

Understandably, the news has sparked concerns that the American owners are already looking to sell on Merseyside, raising further questions around Moyes' future.

'David Moyes won't walk away mid-season'

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson does not believe that Moyes will walk halfway through the season, but the incoming of new owners could shake things up.

"If there's a change of ownership then of course it's possible. The change of ownership brings in their own manager," he said.

"It's actually probable, maybe at end of the season, once the situation has run its course, anyway. I wouldn't think it's very likely that he'll walk or that he'll walk mid-season.

"He doesn't strike me as that kind of guy, but I think there's a good chance that by the end of the season, they've got somebody else calling the shots.

"And in that case, I think there's a good chance there will be a change at the top."

Could Everton lose several stars in January?

The squad is already very thin, with a lack of cover in several positions, especially striker, but that won't stop clubs from trying to poach players.

Football Insider understands that Everton have placed a "huge" price tag on Jarrad Branthwaite, who is fielding interest from Manchester United again.

It is also understood that Tyler Dibling will be allowed to leave, most likely on loan, despite some very recent fine displays in the starting lineup.

Thierno Barry has looked like a different animal, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see clubs come back in for the Frenchman.

And that would leave Moyes without a first-choice striker at the Hill Dickinson.
