Everton should accept Thierno Barry offer without hesitation
The Toffees spent £27million on the France Under-21 international last summer and RB Leipzig are now reportedly interested in him.
After a mixed campaign for the young centre-forward with the Blues, serving as Beto's backup for the most part in recent months, they shouldn't hesitate to accept an offer that matches their valuation.
Barry has shown petulance with some of his off-field antics since moving to Hill Dickinson Stadium and David Moyes could certainly do without that in the upcoming campaign.
It also wouldn't be surprising to see the Frenchman throw a tantrum if the Scottish manager doesn't give him consistent opportunities.
The Merseyside outfit could undoubtedly do with another quality number nine in their squad and the 23-year-old may fall further down the pecking order soon.
David Moyes clearly wants to strengthen one position at Everton
Juventus striker Lois Openda has emerged as an option for the Toffees to strengthen their squad this summer.
The Serie A giants are looking to offload the 26-year-old Belgium international after his underwhelming season at the Allianz Stadium, with the Blues in the race to get a deal over the line for him.
Sources told Football Insider on 16 June that funds were available at Hill Dickinson Stadium to sign Openda and the Merseysiders were exploring a loan-to-buy offer for the centre-forward.
Moyes is prioritising the addition of a new number nine as he looks for a reliable goalscorer to make progress in L3 after finishing 13th back-to-back in the Premier League.
Thierno Barry may fume at Hill Dickinson Stadium prospect
If Everton sign a new striker, Moyes could have a headache managing the ego of someone like Barry, who has often cut a frustrated figure on the bench.
Beto showed the Scottish manager towards the end of the season that he's a better option for the Toffees up front compared to the former Villarreal ace, who clearly isn't ready to be the first-choice striker.
There's still plenty of room for improvement for the French youngster, but it remains to be seen whether he's ready to be patient for his chances at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
