Everton windfall revealed as never-before-seen sponsorship agreed - Finance guru

Everton have done a "good deal" with Christopher Ward, the club's first-ever official training kit partner, ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that the Toffees could make a "high margin" on the deal.

Despite several clubs, such as Aston Villa, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest, struggling to find front-of-shirt sponsors, that has not been an issue on Merseyside.

CMC Markets have come aboard as the Toffees main sponsor ahead of next season, a deal believed to be worth £15million a year for the next two years.

Now, David Moyes' side will see Christopher Ward, a globally recognised British watch brand, don the club's training kit ahead of the new season.

Essentially, the Toffees have made history by agreeing their first-ever training kit partnership, and fans will be eager to know how much the deal is worth.

Everton to earn '£2m' from Christopher Ward deal

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson believes that the Merseyside outfit could earn up to £2m from the new partnership.

"It won't be huge money, probably £1.5million to £2m. But it's incremental because they've never had that before, so that's good," he said.

"Every £1m on top is an extra million. We don't know what the costs of it are in terms of what they've offered on the other side, as part of the inventory package.

"For example, one way in terms of it being on on the training kit and, let's say, digital sponsoring, then it's a very high margin on that £1m.

"It's different if that, as part of the £2m, they're also giving them loads of executive boxes and hospitality.

"That's a bit different, but let's assume it's a pretty good margin overall and therefore, it's a good deal for them."

What's next for David Moyes at Everton?

After several painful and frustrating seasons under Farhad Moshiri's, The Friedkins have offered some much-needed hope at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

While supporters wanted more than a 13th-place finish in the Premier League last season, the Toffees are being set up for success.

Moyes has already welcomed Hayden Hackney to the squad on a £25m deal, while Merlin Rohl's contract has been made permanent after his loan spell.

The likes of Jarrod Bowen, Alexander Sorloth and Sam Johnstone have all been strongly linked, but Idrissa Gueye's future needs solving as soon as possible.
