Sources reveal Amanda Staveley's stance on Everton takeover after failed bid

Amanda Staveley to Everton seems more like a matter of when, not if, as rumours continue to spread at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Friedkin Group (TFG) are already seeking new investment on Merseyside, just 21 months into their venture in England.

Understandably, this has sparked concerns of a full sale by the American owners, and that really wouldn't be the craziest of outcomes.

TFG's ambition was seriously questioned during the summer transfer market, with David Moyes being left high and dry with the state of his squad.

It didn't take long before Stavelely was being relinked with a move to Merseyside, previously falling short in a takeover bid with his consortium in 2024.

Supporters were relieved, many even emotional, when Farhad Moshiri's era finally came to an end, and it may have been a better conclusion had Staveley come aboard instead of TFG.

Sources have told iNews (23 September) that Staveley's PCP Capital group came down to the final two interested parties in December 2024.

In fact, the deal was so close Staveley's group began making serious plans for the club's operations, but the situation created by the previous owner proved too tricky.

Now, Staveley would appear to be interested once again, but sources close to PCP have "emphatically" denied the rumours circulating.

There is no doubt that the 53-year-old is interested in a return to the Premier League, but West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are also in the frame.

These things can take time, and until TFG make their plans known, the supporters will ultimately be left in the dark.

As previously stated, Spurs and the Hammers are also of interest to the former Newcastle United figure, and Staveley is undeterred by their current situation.

The 53-year-old and her consortium have a money at the ready to invest in a new club, and are very much still keeping an eye on the Lilywhites.

The Lewis Family are adamant that no part of the North London club is for sale, while West Ham's situation is just as complicated.

Staveley did have agreement to buy the Gold Family's shares. That was until Daniel Kretinsky skipped the queue to seal the shares himself and become majority owner.
