‘Why is everybody hating?’ – Everton fans fume at ‘crazy’ Allardyce team news v Swansea
Everton fans are not happy with manager Sam Allardyce’s decision to leave forward Oumar Niasse out of the squad to face Swansea in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old was dropped from the side that faced Newcastle United on Wednesday, after his poor performance in Merseyside derby against Liverpool, when he was substituted at half-time.
The Toffees face Swansea at Goodison Park looking to build on their five-match unbeaten run, with Allardyce naming an unchanged side from the team that beat the Magpies 1-0 at St James’ Park last week, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin leading the attack.
Niasse doesn’t even make the bench and one fan thinks that’s “crazy”.
Everton supporters were not happy with the decision to leave Niasse out for a second consecutive game and took to social media to express their views.
Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the best tweets from Toffees fans.
Everton are unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions and have kept four clean sheets in the process. Meanwhile, Swansea are bottom of the table, four points from safety and have lost seven of their last nine Premier League matches.
Allardyce’s side have collected 10 points in their last four league games, which is one more than they managed in their previous 12.
Goals are few and far between in this fixture – only once in the last six meetings has either side scored more than one goal, that was in a 2-1 victory for the Swans at Goodison Park in January 2016.
Everton’s Wayne Rooney has scored nine Premier League goals this season, the same number Swansea have managed in total.
In other Everton news, Yannick Bolasie took to social media to post a video message thanking fans for their support.
