According to The Talent Hunter via Instagram, Casey started training with Fulham last week.

The 18-year-old midfielder has been a free agent since leaving the Emirates in the summer.

Crystal Palace had been close to acquiring the midfielder in October, but talks broke down when compensation couldn’t be agreed upon between the FA Cup holders and Arsenal.

Now, Casey will be looking to impress for Fulham’s Under 21s, with the youngster coming on for the last 20 minutes in their victory over Ipswich in the Premier League 2.

How good is Casey?

Despitel leaving Arsenal, the midfielder had an exceptional record for their Under 18s last season.

Overall, he netted 18 goals in 21 league appearances for the Gunners’ academy side, in what was a highly successful individual campaign for the youngster.

Now, he will be looking to showcase this ability at Fulham as he aims to finally lock down his next club.

Fulham have long targeted young players under Marco Silva, and Casey could one day become a star in the Premier League.

However, it remains to be seen if the Cottagers look to make the midfielder’s stay at Craven Cottage a permanent one as he continues to train with the London club.
